About this Project
Cage Waste Removal Limited was tasked by a local council with removing an old greenhouse that had been left unused for a considerable period of time.
As the photographs show, the greenhouse had become completely engulfed by dense vegetation, brambles and climbing plants, to the point where much of the original structure was barely visible.
The deterioration of the greenhouse, combined with broken glass, overgrown vegetation and the metal framework hidden beneath it, meant this wasn’t a straightforward greenhouse dismantling.
Our Approach
Before the structure could be safely dismantled, our team first had to cut back and remove the extensive vegetation surrounding and growing through the greenhouse.
Working methodically, we exposed the structure section by section, allowing our operatives to safely remove the remaining glass and dismantle the metal framework.
During the clearance, a considerable amount of additional material that had accumulated beneath and around the greenhouse was uncovered, including timber, plant pots, garden items, metal and general waste.
All waste generated during the project was removed from site and appropriately separated for recycling and recovery.
The Result
Once the greenhouse, vegetation and accumulated waste had been removed, the area was left completely cleared, exposing the original paving base for the first time in many years.
